It seems like the election should be this November. President Bush still has 15 months left in office and all we hear about is this cast of characters vying to become the next president.

There’s a ton of opinion to be stated on this subject. However, for now I’ll keep it short and sweet. My choice for president would be Mike Huckabee. I am inline with nearly every position he has taken. He speaks common sense and isn’t some moderate/left candidate with an ‘R’ beside his name. The problem is he’s not well known and will not receive the financial backing to push him to the top. The republican party wants a moderate to go up against Hillary so they have a fighting chance to beat her. I predict it will be Rudy or Mitt Romney. A lot of people say there isn’t a real conservative in the bunch but I disagree. Mike Huckabee is the one for true conservative republicans. That’s not to say I won’t vote for whoever wins the nomination. I will be casting my vote against Hillary.

Well I was on my way home today and noticed a bumper sticker I had never seen before. It said “Never Thought I’d Miss Nixon.” To make matters worse the vehicle had an NCSU sticker too. I got to thinking about some of the Anti-Bush stickers I had seen. I went on the web to compile some of my favorite ones. People come up with some of the craziest things. I thought they were quite hilarious.

Well it only took them 6 years to finally land a blow on the president. And it was a big blow. After the media has pounded Bush day after day for 6 years they are finally able to celebrate a victory over him. However, I think it is ironic that conservative democrats are the candidates that put the left wing liberal leaders in power. Rahm Emanuel, Pelosi and Schumer recruited moderate democrats because they knew that was the only way for them to come into power. Their ideas and agenda will always lose against conservative ideas when voted on at the ballot box. For the last two years the Dem leaders have been all anti-war trying to figure out how to get us out of Iraq so all of Europe and Asia will like us again.
I also wanted to note that during the coverage of the election I have yet to hear or read a story from the Drive-by Media about any disenfranchised voters in Florida or Ohio. I did hear about a few voting machine problems on CNN, but once the wave of Dem projections started rolling that was all forgotten. I didn’t hear anything about how Jim Webb or John Tester stole two Senate seats from the Republicans. I read Chuckie Schumer said that George Allen should do the gentleman thing and concede defeat. Does anyone remember any Dems saying that back in 2000? Oh…that’s only when the Republicans win.
The sole reason the Dems won the election is because of the country’s frustration with Bush and how the war has been handled. It’s not that they want to pull out in a year regardless of whether the job is done. We have still yet to hear what changes they are going to implement to help solve the situation. I’m sort of glad they won because they don’t have anyone to blame but themselves. They will be making the laws and deciding where the money goes. And when the Patriot Act expires and the tax cuts expire and they shut down the Terrorist Surveillance Program they better pray we don’t get hit again like 9/11. The Dems have been crying since they lost in 1994. Now we’ll see what they have. The Bush Bashing is over.

Seven months after the election the truth comes out once again about John Kerry. If you’re a George W fan it doesn’t matter anyway except to rub it in the Democrats’ faces. We actually learned today that overall Bush had a better GPA over his four years at Yale than Kerry. You know the great intellectual and seasoned debater that was painted all over the televisions was really a crock of dung. Bush admitted he made mistakes in college and took it like the man he is. He wasn’t out there filling your head full of stories. Kerry on the other hand just refused to release his transcripts and got away with it as usual. Ironically, one of Kerry’s highest scores his freshman year came in French class.

The campaign has come and gone. The future of America is now in the hands of its people. The great thing about this nation is the fact that when it comes down to it these two men have the power to do nothing until we give it to one of them. Elections come and go over the years. Some are more memorable than others and some are more meaningful. This election perhaps could have the biggest impact on our future as any in recent history. Our own existence and the freedoms we enjoy today are being challenged by terrorists. The morality in the United States is a homerun fat pitch going down on the yearly chart. I don’t know about you, but I want a leader who will stand up for what is right because it is right and not because it is popular. I want a leader who wants to win no matter what the cost. The best economy, the best healthcare, the best opportunity in the world will not be worth anything if you aren’t here to take advantage of it like the 3,000 aren’t that were taken from us on 9/11. History will look back and determine if we as a country made the correct decision in this pivotal election. Let’s keep George W holding onto the reins for four more years. Take the time to go vote and as Curt Shilling said, “Vote Bush.”

John Kerry looks just like the Scarecrow from the Wizard of Oz. I can hear that song now, “If I Only Had a Brain.” I think Kerry has reached the point of desperation in his campaign for the White House. He has now brought out on stage the savior of the Democrat party. It’s a tell tell sign when a party has a candidate that cleary can’t win based solely on who he is and his positions on issues. That is if you can figure out his position. He has to get Clinton up off of his death bed to speak at a rally in Philadelphia of all places. This is a city which should be a done deal for Kerry. It doesn’t really make sense to me. I assume they are just trying to make Clinton and Kerry look popular in the heart of the most liberal city in PA. Not really hard to do. Of course, Bubba is just out there telling everyone what a great president he was and how John Kerry is going to make America the “Comeback Country.” Someone please tell them to click their heels twice and say there’s no place like home. Maybe they’ll finally wake up from their dream.

There is an interesting parallel with Election Day and Halloween. Every election year the Democrats come out with their “October Surprise” hoping to do in their Republican opponent in the last days before the election. Four years ago it was George W’s DWI arrest upon which Al Gore capitalized and shrinked Bush’s lead. Well folks, while we’re waiting for the surprise of 2004 John F Kerry has slipped into his October Disguise.
Kerry has been everything to everyone this political season. He’s been a Nasa lab technician, a wind surfer, a biker, a snow skiier, and most recently a hunter. He’s out showing everyone what regular guy he is, but he’s not fooling anybody in those costumes. We know he’s really a Joker and if Batman has anything to do with it he’s going to be brought to justice on November 2. The Joker can run, but he can’t hide from the Caped Crusader.
