A couple of new purchases for the home. I bought a 46″ Sony Bravia LCD HDTV. It pulls that HD right out of the air and I love it. The next item is going to be a Blue-Ray player. The other photo is my chair and ottoman. I still have to purchase a couple of end tables. Those will come soon enough.

You’ve got to love the iPhone. I know there have been a ton of reviews for it already, but I have to put in my 2 cents worth. There is no comparison to any other phone that I’ve ever seen. I don’t even need to carry a laptop with me when I go out of town. It simply has everything. Apple thought of everything when they designed it. The touch interface is amazing. I had Nextel for all those years. Boy am I glad I made the switch.

This year we decided to go to Yellowstone for vacation. It was a really great time. The weather could not have been better. We got to see bears, elk, deer, antelope, eagles and hundreds of bison. We did some hiking and ran into some fresh bear tracks along the way. We hiked down to get a better look at some of the waterfalls and we tackled the Yellowstone River for our first whitewater rafting adventure. I’ve posted video and photos from the trip.

Folks it’s that time of year again for our adversaries in Chapel Hill. UNC had another stellar regular season just to come up two wins short of the title. But think of what it must feel like for Roy, Corey or Horace - whatever you want to call him. Horace is the guy on the right. He was on Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman. Roy looks a lot like Horace if you ask me. He also has the Kansas sticker going for him. He’s caught a lot of flack over that the last several days. I’m sure he’s thinking…15 years and I couldn’t get it done. Bill got her done in 5.

So I have been a loyal Nextel customer for the past 8 years. I thought it was so cool when I first got my Nextel. It was great to be able to push a button and instantly talk to someone miles away. A lot of things happen in 8 years. You would think with the way technology advances so rapidly that cell phone coverage would be like ignorant democrat voters. They’re everywhere and there are way too many. As a matter of fact I sit at my desk daily which is in the heart of RTP and read No Service on my phone. Everyone else that has a cell phone has service all over the building no matter which provider it is. I can ride down the middle of I-40 or I-440 and completely lose service for miles. Is this what I pay for each month? Can’t get a signal in downtown Raleigh? When my contract expires at the end of year, so will my business with Nextel.
